Scoliosis and Usain Bolt

Scoliosis could not stop Usain Bolt from becoming โ€“ The Fastest Man!
When my patients with chronic back pain ask me if their scoliosis are the reason of their pain โ€ฆ
I am always telling them, that Bolt has scoliosis, just like them. My patientsโ€™s eyes lit up with wonder and hope โ€ฆ
An eight-time Olympic gold medallist, Bolt is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two 4 ร— 100 relay gold medals. He gained worldwide fame for his double sprint victory in world record times at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the first person to hold both records since fully automatic time became mandatory.
Apart from the obvious genetic advantage of being Jamaican, he displays not only core strength but incredible control of his spinal movements, impeccable technique and excellent power and stability in his gluts.
While us mere mortals may never reach such levels of awesomeness, there is always room for improvement. Physiotherapy can identify areas of abnormal tone and weakness that place extra stress on an already disadvantages spinal posture.
We canโ€™t promise youโ€™ll crack the 10 second mark over a 100m sprint but we back ourselves to give you a noticeable improvement in your athletic ability.
